“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6 KJV)

Heavenly Father, we treasure our children as being a heritage and a reward from You.

We thank you for the armor you have provided to all of us to wear for protection from all assaults. We pray that You send your ministering angels to protect and keep OUR children safe, Lord, each and every day. We ask for Your shield of protection over every parent, teacher, administrator, bus driver, and all of our children going to and from school throughout this nation.

Father. You said, “For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth…” Show us how to chasten and correct our children for their profit, to keep them from straying from Your commands.

Help them to follow peace with all men, and holiness, that they may see the Lord at the end of their days. Thank You for Your grace to train them to honor their fathers and mothers, that their days will be long on the earth.

Help us to fill them with Your Word and Godly teaching that will produce success for them in life. Turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers.
